Thanks. The original VHS was all shot to tape in series directly in the camera but this version was edited with iMovie to shorten it and speed it up a bit. You can see the original version by scrolling down the videos for a bit. It's about six minutes long.

I agree about the weather, and with the rest if you are lucky enough to have an area of such dependable and productive mycelium and sclerotia that an annual harvest is usually assured. But each year is so different around here I like to add a bit of ritual, even if may have little to no effect.

That's about all I've found so far also.

I agree. I read about their diet and they eat just about anything they find in moist soil. And even if they don't eat them they destroy the morel habitat, just like you describe. Happy (and fruitful) hunting!

I still have the puppets I made for Music Funfactory, but some of them are getting pretty ratty. They have been used for many years in performances of "Bob Roy and the Christmas Cookie ", The Music Funfactory machines ended up in different places. I took the Note Noter home as a playhouse for our kids, but I think the others were stored in the Channel 8 warehouse and eventually discarded. I recycled nonfunctional musical instruments that I got from the metro schools warehouse for some of the machines. It's amazing how much stuff is discarded by educational institutions and the entertainment industry, but I guess we can say that same thing about most of our materially consuming activities.

I had mixed feelings about sharing this but at times I feel compelled to share the realities that initiate or influence a particular work. I am fortunate to have met so many wonderful folks (including you!) through the wandering paths of the fairy shrimp.

Yep. They are welcome here. Only hassled them with a cell phone. They sun every morning and I hope they leave plenty of eggs. Thanks for looking after them.

Kidding aside, I am really happy that you took the time to let me know this. I am very slowly going to replace some of these episodes with higher quality versions. I am missing at least one of my original tapes though.

@@streptocephalus As a kid I always dreamed of owning a collection of all the shows but I don’t think such a collection exists. I will certainly save all your uploads though. Thank you so much for the impact you had on me as a child in developing a love for music. I went on to get over 20 years of vocal training in opera, Broadway, Gospel, jazz, pop, soul, country, and more. I saw in the video description where you mentioned the betrayal of your evangelical church earlier in life. I have to tell you I have a similar story. I know that pain. It has taken me a long time to separate Jesus as “selfless Love” with the “God Who abandons” that those people portrayed to me. I hope you know God loves you no matter what those people said 🙂 and thank you for spreading your own bit of love through these timeless children’s shows!
